To be acknowledged as a leader in mass communication education and research on a global scale, enabling students to become academics and media professionals who are moral, creative, and socially responsible.
Our goal is to give students a thorough understanding of mass communication theory, research, and practise that is interdisciplinary in nature. Through experiential learning, teamwork, and interaction with diverse groups, we hope to promote critical thinking, creativity, and ethical decision-making. We work hard to establish a welcoming environment that promotes creativity, supports research excellence, and equips graduates to contribute significantly to the media sector and society at large.
We are dedicated to provide a challenging and modern curriculum that combines academic understanding with real-world application. Our faculty, which consists of skilled academicians, makes sure that the most recent advancements in mass communication are incorporated into the course material. By providing specialised courses in journalism, advertising, public relations, radio, digital media, and media management, we promote interdisciplinary learning.
Student-Centric Approach:
Holistic development and student-centered learning are priorities in our department. To develop the special talents and goals of each student, we advocate for small class sizes, engaging teaching strategies, and individualised mentoring. We are committed to fostering an environment that values critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and freedom of expression.
State-of-the-Art Facilities:
We have a vision to bring in cutting-edge infrastructure and technology to create a supportive learning environment. With the help of industry-standard technology, our department wants to put up well-equipped media labs, editing suites, recording studios, and a media production centre for students to use. Through student-led media groups and organisations, we foster cooperation and innovation.
Industry Collaboration:
We, at the department, understand how critical it is to close the gap between academia and the media business. We aim to aggressively promote partnerships with top media organisations by arranging industry visits, hosting industry professionals as guest speakers, and providing internships and job placements. These collaborations will guarantee that our students learn real-world knowledge, expand their professional networks, and are well equipped to meet the requirements of the media sector.
Research and Innovation:
We aim to promote a culture of research and innovation in our department. We encourage faculty members and students to work on innovative projects that further our understanding of mass communication. We aim to contribute to the larger scholarly conversation and solve current media concerns by encouraging multidisciplinary research partnerships, holding conferences, and publishing in prestigious academic journals.
Social Responsibility and Ethical Communication:
We firmly believe that the media has the ability to influence society and bring about beneficial change. Students in our department are instilled with a strong sense of social responsibility and ethical behaviour. We aim to advance media literacy, diversity, inclusiveness, and ethical use of media platforms via courses, workshops, and community engagement initiatives. In addition to being talented professionals, our graduates should be social justice and media ethics activists.
Global Perspective:
We aim to equip our students to succeed in a variety of cultural and international situations in an increasingly interconnected world. Our goals include creating international exchange programmes, working with partner universities throughout the world, and incorporating a global viewpoint into our course content. In order to prepare our students to be successful communicators in a globalised world, we want to expose them to cross-cultural competences and help them build a wide grasp of media systems.
